Our Blog

Pooch on a Pedestal are excited to be able to share what we are up to with the gorgeous dogs we are lucky enough to work with. We are very grateful for all the awards we win but the best reward are the rescue dogs getting a forever home, nervous dogs gaining confidence & stressed owners really enjoying living with and walking their canine companions after months or even years of stress.
We offer puppy training and support, enrichment, training and socialisation sessions for dogs within 5 miles of NP18. Expert Certified Behaviourist support can be further afield from Caerphilly/Cardiff to Chepstow, including Caerleon, Penhow, Caldicot, Magor, Usk, Pontypool, Cwmbran, Risca, Rogerstone, Caerwent and Newport.

Many of the dogs on our Facebook page will be rescues as Victoria is the Certified Canine Behaviourist for Help for Dogs, Desperate Dogs Romania and Newport Dogs Home as well as FONDS.

Our Platinum Pooch Pop In Package with Cockapoo P

Thursday 4th April 2019

This is a 30 minute home visit planned to meet P's individual needs and likes. Dogs should not be left for more than 4 hours without a home visit or walk as it can lead to mental and emotional health problems. They also need to have companionship and the chance to pursue normal dog behaviours such as foraging or sniffing. P had a visit planned to meet her love of ball games, her need for affection and contact and her breed needs to sniff and find food items with an interactive game. See the video on Facebook @Poochonapedestal
